Definitions You Should Know

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)- 
a systematic set of procedures for compiling and examining the inputs and outputs of materials and energy and the associated environmental impacts directly attributable to the functioning of a product or service system throughout its life cycle. [1]

Carbon Footprint-
the amount of greenhouse gases and specifically carbon dioxide emitted by something (as a person's activities or a product's manufacture and transport) during a given period. [2]

Global Warming Potential (GWP)-
the updated decay response for the Bern carbon cycle model and future CO2 atmospheric concentrations held constant at current levels. [3]
